Air Force Headquarters

Chief of Air Force through Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) provides oversight of Air Force activities in the raising, training and sustaining of assigned Air Force capabilities. AFHQ provides strategic leadership to the Air Force as a whole as well as providing policy guidance in regard to Air Force activities to the rest of the Defence organisation and Government. The Deputy Chief of Air Force (DCAF) acts as the manager of the headquarters.

Key focus areas for strategic planning include resources, personnel, force disposition, and infrastructure as well as future force considerations.
