The Australian Defence Force is pleased to be bringing the Defence Force Air Show program to RAAF Base Pearce on 19 and 20 May 2012 .

There will be static, flying and ground displays of Defence capability from Air Force, Army and Navy.

The theme of the Defence Force Air Show is Air Force: Anywhere, Anytime

Times

The Defence Force Air Show will be held from 8am to 5pm.

Civilian flying displays are from 10.30am - 12pm, and military flying displays are from 12.30pm - 3.30pm

Last entry at 2pm.

Tickets

Tickets are on sale now from bocs ticketing. All tickets purchased by credit card will incur an additional charge of $0.40 for the Standard ticket, $0.10 for the Child ticket, and $0.80 on the Family ticket (4 tickets).

Discounted entry is available by presales for adults ($20) and children ($5, ages 5 – 15 years). Children under 5 years are free.

Presales at offer a family ticket of two adults and two children for $46.

Tickets are available at the gate for adults ($25) and children ($5, aged 5 – 15 years). Family tickets are not available at the gate.
 
Entry is for one day - Please purchase your ticket for the correct day.

  • F/A-18 F Super Hornet
  • C-130 Hercules
  • C-17A Globemaster
  • CL-604 Challenger
  • Wedgetail AEW&C
  • KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport
  • AP-3C Orion
  • PC-9/A
  • Hawk 127
  • The Roulettes (comprised seven PC-9/A aircraft)
  • RAAF Balloon
  • Navy Seahawk

The following civilian and historical aircraft are expected to participate in the Air Show:

  • Winjeel
  • Rebel 300
  • Beechcraft 18
  • Laser 230
  • Chipmunk
  • T-6 Texan
  • Victa Airtourer
  • Christen Eagle
  • Cessna 180
  • Grumman Albatross

The following international aircraft are expected to participate in the Air Show:

  • B52 bomber (USAF)
  • KC135 Tanker (USAF)
  • Flying training display (RSAF)
  • C-130H (RSAF)

All aircraft and displays are subject to operational requirements, weather and aircraft availability and may change.

  • Australia’s Federation Guard Precision Drill Team
  • Army parachuting display
  • Air Force Band
  • Bushmaster vehicles
  • Military Work Dog displays

RAAF Base Pearce

RAAF Base Pearce is home to:

  • No 2 Flying Training School- PC-9/A trainer aircraft
  • No 79 Squadron - Hawk 127 fighter trainer aircraft
  • No 453 Squadron detachment Pearce - Air Traffic Control
  • No 25 (City of Perth) Squadron
  • No 1 Airfield Defence Squadron Detachment Pearce - airfield defence guards
  • No 1 Airfield Operations Support Squadron Detachment Pearce - airfield engineering
  • 4 Expeditionary Health Squadron Detachment

Noise Enquiries during the Air Show

Defence takes its environmental responsibilities seriously and every effort is made to minimise disruption to the local community.

If a Defence aircraft is involved, Defence can investigate to ensure the aircraft was operating within approved guidelines.
