National Archives holds RAAF service records for personnel who enlisted prior to and during WWII but holds no records post WWII.
RAAF Personnel Records hold all other service records for Personnel who had service during and after WWII.
The World War 2 Nominal Roll, It's An Honour (medals and awards) database, and Australian War Memorial biographical databases are other popular resources for researching Air Force service - these are managed by other Australian Government agencies.
Air Force medical records are generally only available to the ex-member themselves. Enquiries should be directed to RAAF Health Records on (02) 6266 5923.
All enquiries about entitlement to and replacement of Air Force medals and awards should be directed to Defence Honours and Awards.
