Royal Australian Air Force Flying Area, Williamtown

Monthly flight schedules will be published on this page by RAAF Base Williamtown as part of a trial to better inform local communities of our fast jet flying activities.

This system is designed to provide nearby residents with the latest information about military flights from RAAF Base Williamtown in key areas such as Salt Ash Air Weapons Range and low flying areas (but will not provide information on every military flight).

Click on any blue section on the map below for the latest information on Air Force flying activities in that area. Use the scroll bar as necessary, and click back on the map to close the information overlay (Note: this functionality is not currently available for iPhone or iPad devices).

Please note that changes in weather conditions or operational requirements can dictate alterations to flying schedules without notice.

RSS Feeds

Interested residents can choose to receive automatic notifications of Air Force flying activities in the Williamtown area by subscribing to a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed. Once subscribed to a RSS feed new information and updates are automatically delivered to the subscriber as soon as they are published, without the need to constantly check a website. Most internet browsers and smartphones have the ability to deliver RSS feeds, but depending on the device used it may be necessary to download an RSS reader.

To subscribe to the Williamtown flying area RSS feed click on the relevant blue area/s of the map below. When the information overlay for that area appears simply click on the RSS Updates link in the top right hand corner of the panel. A new page will open and the Subscribe to this feed option can be clicked to complete the process (once subscribed, on this page subscribers can also click on the View feed properties link to manage the information received). Repeat this process for as many areas as desired. Once this is done the subscriber should automatically receive information and updates about Air Force flying activities in the areas selected.

RSS feeds can be cancelled at any time through settings in the subscriber's web and email browsers.
