Kingaroy
Although originally intended as a training base, operations at Kingaroy were largely RAAF operational squadrons being rested or re-equipped before returning to the front line in northern Australia or New Guinea. Additionally, No 3 Initial Training School carried out basic training for aircrew trainees from mid-1942 until June 1945.
