Airfield Defence Guard Image

ADG Patrol Order

Patrol Order consists of first-line ammunition and combat supplies sufficient for 12 hours patrolling or 24 hours emergency conditions.

ADG Battle Order

Battle Order consists of Patrol Order plus sleeping kit and rations sufficient for three days living. In an emergency, the kit should suffice for seven days.

ADG Night Fighting Equipment

With the introduction of new-technology Ninox Night Fighting Equipment, Airfield Defence Guard operations can continue when the sun goes down. ADGs are equipped with Night Vision Goggles, Night Aiming Devices and Night Weapon Sights which can be fitted to the F88 Austeyr and F89 Minimi.

ADG Communications

Airfield Defence Guards receive initial signals training during ADG Basic Course. You will have the opportunity to undertake more advanced signals training once you are posted to an Airfield Defence Squadron. Each Airfield Defence Squadron has a signals section where, if you have a flair for signals, you can be employed as an ADG signals specialist.
