About No. 11 Squadron
 

Following service during World War II, No. 11 Squadron (11SQN) was disbanded and then reformed at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland, on 1 November 1950 and equipped with Avro Lincoln Mk 30 aircraft.

On 12 November 1950, 11SQN moved to RAAF Base Pearce, WA, and in 1951 members travelled to the US for the squadron to be equipped with Neptune aircraft.

On 26 May 1954, the squadron was transferred to RAAF Base Richmond, NSW, and later to its current home at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA.
