Lockheed SP-2H Neptune A89-275

Received from Lockheed, USA, on 29 March 1962, A89-275 was taken on charge by No 10 Squadron at Townsville, Queensland. In June 1962, the aircraft was flown to No 2 Aircraft Depot for modifications, and returned to Townsville. In March 1964, A89-275 went to CAC at Avalon for further modifications. During its career with No 10 Squadron, the aircraft was serviced by No 2 Aircraft Depot at Richmond.

With the introduction into service of the P-3 Orion, the Neptune was phased out, and in September 1977, A89-275 was brought to the RAAF Museum for display.
