Restoration Progress Reports

Horizontal Stabiliser:

The stabiliser structure is essentially complete and new skins are currently being manufactured;

Fin:

Construction of the new fin is well advanced, with both spars and all rib complete. Work is now proceeding with developing jigs to drill the spars and support the fin during assembly;

Propellers:

Paint stripping of the blades has begun, as has the overhaul of an old propeller stand to store the completed propellers on pending their fitment to the aircraft. Acquisition of deficient items continues to be pursued. Mr Glyn Powel of New Zealand has offered to donate a propeller spider and tail wheel strut to the project in appreciation of past technical assistance.
