Parafield
Primarily a training base, and home to No 1 Elementary Flying Training School between 1939 and 1944, Parafield airport was also an important link in the supply chain to the operational bases in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, with No 34 Squadron operating a courier service from Parafield between 1943 and February 1945.
