Wagga
The main centre for ground training in the RAAF today, RAAF Base Wagga was established in 1940 and housed No 2 Service Flying Training School, No 31 Squadron, No 5 Operational Training Unit and No 5 Aircraft Depot during World War II. After the war, the major unit to operate from the base was the School of Technical Training, and that unit has been joined by a variety of other training establishments.
