Conditions of Service specific to Ex-Permanent Air Force (PAF) Personnel

All ex-PAF personnel transferring to the RAAF Reserve within 5 years of separation from the PAF will normally retain their PAF rank with seniority adjusted to reflect the period of separation.

Transfer and Compulsory Retirement Age

An ex-PAF member who applies to transfer to the RAAF Reserve within 5 years of separation from the PAF, and whose age exceeds the normal entry criteria, may be accepted provided that he/she can complete at least two years service with the Air Force Reserve before reaching the prescribed retiring age.

Issue of Uniforms

Members transferring to the Air Force Reserve within 12 months of discharge from the PAF are not entitled to a free issue of uniform.
