RAAF Undergraduate Scheme
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Undergraduate Scheme sponsors university undergraduate students to undertake their degrees before joining the Air Force as officers.
You can apply prior to beginning your University studies and receive funding for your entire degree. To be eligible for sponsorship, you must meet the Air Force's entry requirements (see Careers Overview)
The RAAF Undergraduate Scheme will pay you up to $31,939 p.a. to study and:
- pay your university fees and all compulsory fees including student union fees
- reimburse you for prescribed textbooks and equipment
- subsidise your accommodation if you are living away from home, even for married or de facto couples
- provide free medical and dental care
- provide a dedicated mentor for the duration of your studies.
Upon completion of your studies, you will attend Officers' Training School and begin your Air Force career as an:
- Administration Officer
- Aeronautical Engineer Officer
- Aerospace Engineer Officer - Armament
- Aerospace Engineer Officer - Electronics
- Airfield Engineer Officer
- Dental Officer
- Education Officer
- Environmental Health Officer
- Legal Officer
- Logistics Officer
- Medical Officer
- Nursing Officer
- Pharmaceutical Officer
- Radiographer
