Combat Support Unit - Williamtown

As of December 2007 this amalgamated into 381ECSS.

Role

Combat Support Unit Williamtown is home to the Base Commander who is also Commanding Officer of the Unit. Though only a small unit CSU WLM is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the air base support services. The Base Operations Centre coordinates information flows and provides a coordination focus in the case of a base emergency. The unit also coordinates visits to the base and provides psychology, chaplaincy and OH&S services to the base.

CSUWLM has a mixture of musterings and specialisations due to its role, however the main types are:

  • Chaplains
  • ANYA’s
  • WOD
  • WOFF AVTECH – Base Armament Adviser
  • Clerks
  • Civilians in the role of Base Psychologist, OH&S Manager, Business Manager and Executive Support Officer
