Then Now Always
From our modest beginnings in 1921, Air Force has grown into a potent, world class Air Force which Australia relies upon in both conflict and peace. When Australia needs us, we are ready to respond. The Centenary is an important time to reflect on the enduring contribution the Air Force has made to Australia’s national security.
The men and women of the Royal Australian Air Force have achieved great success in serving Australia and its national interests over the past 100 years.
This occasion is a chance for all Australians to recognise the people that have been at the core of the achievements and successes our Air Force has delivered in conflicts, peacekeeping missions, and humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations around the world.
Our Centenary is also an opportunity to demonstrate today’s highly capable force and look to the future of our service as we continue to transform and embark on our next century of flight.
In 2021, Air Force will recognise a century of service with an exciting program of events and initiatives across the nation.
This will include events at every major Air Force base, an engagement tour of key historically significant areas in every state and territory, Air Force’s participation in major public events, and youth engagement activities to inspire interest in the Air Force and aviation.
To learn more about opportunities to partner with Air Force in celebrating out Centenary in 2021, read our Industry Sponsorship Prospectus.
This website will help tell the story of our Air Force through the years and keep you up to date with opportunities to get involved with events and initiatives happening in your area. The full site will launch in the coming months.
Join us in 2021 as we mark 100 years of the Royal Australian Air Force and our enduring support for Australia.
Then Now Always
In the countdown to marking our 100th year in 2021, each week we’ll be introducing you to some of the exceptional men and women that make up the Royal Australian Air Force. Our team has travelled around Australia to capture the stories of our current and former personnel and what being a part of the Air Force during our Centenary means to them.
