Williamtown Advisory Group
RAAF Base Williamtown is a major asset contributing to the strategic defence of Australia.
Air Force needs to work in collaboration with the local community and State and Local Government representatives so that it can function effectively. As such, RAAF Base Williamtown has created an advisory group to establish links with local communities.
The Williamtown Advisory Group comprises representatives from:
- Raymond Terrace
- Medowie
- Salt Ash
- Williamtown
- Tilligerry Peninsula
- Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council
- Newcastle Airport Ltd
- State and Local Government department officers
- representatives from local businesses, and
- Hunter Business Chamber.
The Williamtown Advisory Group plan to meet every six months, prior to Williamtown Consultative Forum meetings.
