Flight Lieutenant Steven Heriban

Flight Lieutenant Steve Heriban grew up in Yallourn North in Gippsland, VIC, and joined the Air Force in 2007. His love for flying began at a young age when his grandfather took him on a joy flight at a local air show. At 15, he started flying at the Latrobe Valley Aero Club.

After finishing school, Flight Lieutenant Heriban initially flew the KA350 King Air aircraft with No. 32 Squadron before posting to No. 37 Squadron to fly the C-130H Hercules aircraft.

In 2013, Flight Lieutenant Heriban completed Flying Instructor Course, and after a short period of instructing on the CT4/B, was selected for an exchange program with the Royal New Zealand Air Force to teach advanced pilot training.

Flight Lieutenant Heriban has since enjoyed instructional postings back at No. 32 Squadron, No.1 Flying Training School and Central Flying School, and has accumulated over 4,500 military flying hours.

Flight Lieutenant Heriban is thrilled to be returning for his second season with the Roulettes. Outside of work he enjoys building and renovating, as well as travelling and spending quality time with his wife and daughter, whom he cherishes dearly.
