The Air Force Dress Manual is designed to make it easier for personnel to access and locate information on dress policy by consolidating information into related topics.

The wearing of the Air Force Uniform is a privilege and thus should be a matter of personal pride for all Air Force personnel. Air Force uniforms are important symbols of military rank and reflect organisational history. The uniforms contribute to morale, pride, discipline and public perception of the Air Force.

It is incumbent on all personnel to ensure dress, deportment and grooming of Air Force personnel is in accordance with the uniform manual and maintained at the highest possible standard.
