Requesting Air Force displays
Air Force is privileged to have a range of public relations assets including our Roulettes, Balloon, Band and Museum that can be deployed for public displays and participation in a range of events.
We aim to increase our presence in regional and rural areas, and attend events that are large enough in scale and/or impact to warrant the use of Defence resources. Private events such as weddings, school fetes and carnival style events, or events where safety or commercial concerns are apparent are unlikely to be supported.
To submit a request, please complete an application form
and return to your local Joint Operations Support Office (JOSS) at least twelve weeks prior to the event (note that requests for Roulettes are required sixteen weeks prior).
Requests are considered based on budget, tasking, location, audience and other factors.
Defence or Air Force participation may be altered or cancelled at short notice due to operational requirements.
Requesting Ceremonial support from Defence
Defence thanks the Australian public for its ongoing support in remembering those who have paid the ultimate price in service to our nation.
We also thank the public for its understanding of the limits of Defence support that can be provided to the numerous domestic and international commemoration activities during the Centenary, including Anzac and Remembrance Day services.
