Flight Lieutenant Aimee Heal from the Roulettes of Central Flying School, team of 2020.


FLTLT Aimee Heal, 29, grew up in Bundaberg, Queensland. She starting flying at the local aero club at 16 years old and after completing high school in 2008 she joined the Air Force. Aimee attended the Australian Defence Force Academy where she completed a Bachelor of Science. Upon completing her degree Aimee commenced pilots’ course.


In June 2013 Aimee graduated from 231 Pilots’ Course and was posted to RAAF Base Townsville to fly the King Air 350 with No. 38SQN. In 2015 Aimee deployed to Vanuatu on Operation Pacific Assist. Later that year she was posted to No. 33SQN, RAAF Base Amberley to fly the KC-30A MRTT.


During her time at 33SQN Aimee participated in a multitude of military exercises both domestically and internationally. In 2016 Aimee deployed on Operation OKRA. Aimee has over 2000 military flying hours and this is her first season as Roulette 7. She is excited to be flying the PC21.


Outside of work Aimee loves water skiing, camping and catching up with friends.
