An Air Force KC-30A MRTT aircraft prepares to depart RAAF Base Amberley
The following information applies to the Air Tattoo at RAAF Base Amberley.

Disabled Access/Amenities

Visitors to the event should be aware that the Air Tattoo is not held on a purpose built site and may pose challenges for those with mobility issues. Every effort has been made to make the site as accessible as possible, however, visitors should note that there are uneven surfaces throughout the base.

Chairs

There will be limited seating provided for general admission attendees to view the Air Tattoo. Visitors are permitted to bring chairs with them.

ATMS

Automatic Teller Machines will be available at the Air Tattoo.

Alcohol/Smoking

The public area of the Ipswich Amberley Air Tattoo at RAAF Base Amberley is an alcohol and smoke free environment.

Food Outlets

There will be a variety of food stalls available at the Air Tattoo. Visitors can also bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks. A filtered water refill point will also be available.

What if it rains

The Air Tattoo is a rain or shine event. If weather poses a risk to the safety of the public or performers, some flying displays and flying demonstrations may be modified, delayed or suspended.

Footwear

Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk a lot.

Sunscreen and sunglasses

The weather in October in Ipswich should be mild but even so remember to bring some water and pack some sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

Earplugs

Bring earplugs/muffs, especially for kids. Part of the Air Tattoo thrill is the sound of flying displays, but ear protection is highly encouraged, especially for young children.

Public Transport/Car Parking

Please note, there will be no public transport or pedestrian access to or from RAAF Base Amberley. Ticket holders are encouraged to car pool to the Air Tattoo and allow sufficient time for travel and parking as traffic delays are expected.
