Based in Darwin from April to October, the Marine Rotational Force - Darwin will also participate utilising the MV-22 Ospreys for portions of the exercise, however the Darwin community should not expect to experience any more than the usual flying schedule. All participants on Exercise Pitch Black follow ADF policies and guidelines to minimize the impact of flying operations. The RAAF greatly appreciates Darwin’s welcoming of all international participants into the community.

A full list of current exercise participants and aircraft can be found on the Pitch Black 2022 Participants page.

During the exercise flying times will be posted to this page as well as the Defence aircraft noise website.
