Applications for media accreditation are now open for Exercise Pitch Black which returns to the Northern Territory in 2022 over the period 18 August – 8 September 2022.
All media wishing to take part in media opportunities for Exercise Pitch Black 2022 (Pitch Black 22) are required to apply for accreditation by downloading, completing, and then submitting the Pitch Black 22 Media Accreditation Application
Instructions to submit your media expression of interest:
1. Download and save the application form to your device, laptop or PC.
2. Open, complete and resave the application.
3. Email the completed application to media [at] defence.gov.au
The Royal Australian Air Force grants complimentary accreditation to media representatives employed by established media organisations who are attending Exercise Pitch Black as part of their professional duties.
Applications for media accreditation from freelance media will also be considered. Freelance media includes aviation photographers and videographers, aviation writers (print and online) and web TV producers and aviation podcasters.
Media accreditation carries with it an expectation that content will be published in a reasonable, but timely manner.
Accreditation will not be granted to photographers or photojournalists who wish to use material for their own commercial or promotional purposes (ie, personal websites, blogs or social media accounts).
The Royal Australian Air Force reserves the right to grant or refuse applications for accreditation at their sole discretion.
