F/A-18F Super Hornet diversion training at Wellcamp and Tamworth

Two F/A-18F Super Hornets from RAAF Base Amberley’s No. 82 Wing will conduct diversion training at Wellcamp Airport, Queensland and Tamworth, New South Wales.

All flying activities are conducted within strict safety and operational guidelines.

Toowoomba residents are advised this activity will be conducted on Tuesday 15 August 2023 between 6.15pm and 7.00pm. Tamworth residents are advised this activity will be conducted on Thursday 17 August 2023 between 6.30pm and 7.00pm.

Flying is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as air traffic control requirements, weather, and operational availability.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
