F/A-18F Super Hornet training activity at RAAF Base Pearce

Up to four Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F Super Hornets from No. 1 Squadron will conduct long-range mission training from RAAF Base Amberley to RAAF Base Pearce and return.

The aircraft will conduct long-range mission training from RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland to RAAF Base Peace in Western Australia, on Monday 29 May 2023. The aircraft will return to RAAF Base Amberley on Tuesday 30 May 2023.

A second long-range mission will occur Wednesday 31 May – Thursday 01 June 2023.

Long-range missions are an essential part of F/A-18F Super Hornet aircrew training.

Flying is subject to variables including air traffic control requirements, weather, and operational availability. As such, all flying may be subject to amendment or cancellation at short notice.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
