ADF Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills Program

The ADF Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills (ARRTS) Program is a month-long introduction to, and exploration of, artistic disciplines to enable wounded, injured or ill ADF members to experience new life skills and recreation opportunities.

The Program has proved to have significant rehabilitation benefits, with previous participants reporting improved well-being, increased self-confidence and resilience, as well as an enhanced ability to 'move on' in their lives.

The Program offers up to four artistic streams, that may include:

•creative writing;

•music and rhythm;

•acting and performance; and

•visual arts.

ARRTS is designed with the flexibility to respond to the abilities of all participants, allowing them to work both as part of a team and individually. No previous experience or training is required.

Interested members, friends or commanders can find out more by emailing ADF.ARRTS [at] defence.gov.au or calling (02) 6127 6505.
