Under the baton of the Air Force Band's Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader Daniel Phillips, the performance will explore aspects of life from the serene with Eric Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, earthly passion with Silvestre Revueltas’ Sensemayá, and the elements with Julie Giroux’s Symphony No. V: Elements.

Importantly, this performance will feature a work commissioned by the Air Force Band and composed by Melbourne Indigenous composer James Henry, Emu and Brolga. James will be attending the concert and will provide some insight into the Indigenous symbolism of his work. Also featured in this concert will be the Australian premiere of Daniel Basford’s evocative Four Rossetti Songs to be sung by Leading Aircraftwoman Chloe Bruer-Jones.
