Anzac Day 2020
The Anzac spirit lives in the heart and minds of all Australians as we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who contributed so much in shaping the identity of this proud nation.
Anzac Day is the most prominent of commemorative activities and Air Force is proud to play an integral role in marking this solemn and significant day.
While Anzac Day this year will be different, we invite you to still come together in spirit, while physically being apart.
You can read our Anzac Day stories on the Defence News website, and see the latest images on the Defence Image Gallery.
You can watch the Australian War Memorial commemorative service from 5.30am AEST on the ABC, or the livestream we’ll be sharing on our Facebook page.
The RSL’s Light up the Dawn campaign encourages everyone to stand on their driveway, on their balcony or in their living room with a torch or candle, immediately following the commemorative service to remember all those who have served.
Alternatively, the Australian War Memorial has a range of activities on their Anzac at Home website.
There are also multiple resources available for you to utilise for your Anzac Day at the DVA Anzac Portal.
Whatever you choose to do to mark the occasion, you may wish to follow and tag us on social media – @AusAirForce on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And use the hashtags #AnzacDay, #AnzacAtHome, #StandAtDawn, and #AusAirForce so we can all share in your commemorative moments.
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
