Australian Defence Force in Hobart 14-15 September
There will be a host of Australian Defence Force (ADF) activities in Hobart, Tasmania over the weekend Saturday 14, and Sunday 15 September.
Battle of Britain Commemoration
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will be supporting:
Remembrance Service at 2pm, Saturday 14 September at St David’s Cathedral, 23 Murray Street, Hobart.
Cenotaph Service and Wreath Laying at 11am, Sunday 15 September at the Cenotaph, Hobart Domain.
There will also be a Hawk 127 and P-8A Poseidon flypast, and Hawk 127 handling display for the Cenotaph Service; details are available on our flying activity page.
HMAS Canberra open day
One of Australia’s largest warships, HMAS Canberra, will be in Hobart. The 230-metre-long Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) will stay in Hobart for a five-day visit.
HMAS Canberra will host an open day 9am - 2.30pm, Saturday 14 September, at McQuarrie Wharf 2, Cruise Ship Terminal, Hobart.
Anglesea Barracks open Day
Anglesea Barracks will host an open day 10am - 4pm, Saturday 14 September at Anglesea Barracks, Davey Street, Hobart.
Members of Army, RAN, RAAF, ADF Cadets, ADF Reservists, Defence Bands and the State Emergency Services will be on base to showcase their services and equipment.
