History and Heritage Publishing Symposium
This July, Air Force will host its first History and Heritage Publishing Symposium. The free event, supported by University of News South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, is open to those with an interest in Air Force history (numbers are limited to 160 places). Writers, historians, researchers and publishers will have the opportunity to hear from experts, share ideas and build valuable connections.
You will hear from Air Force History and Heritage Branch about its Oral History and Publishing programs, while experts from the Australian War Memorial, National Library and National Archives will share tips on how to improve your research. You’ll learn about navigating copyright issues from the Australian Copyright Council, and explore different aspects of Air Force history during themed sessions.
You’ll also have the chance to view select items from the Air Force History Collection and visit the War Memorial Annex in Mitchell. For $60.00 per person, you can join the group at a relaxing informal dinner to hear from guest speaker Michael Veitch, the well-known Australian comedian and author.
Spaces are strictly limited. For more details and to register, visit Eventbrite.
