Headquarters Air Combat Group was awarded the Air Force Association Trophy for 2018 in recognition of their sustained capability focused effort to improve across the Air Force Strategy Vectors of joint warfighting, people and communications.

Throughout the year, ACG has led diversity initiatives, by facilitating discussions around female aircrew employment across the Defence Force and continuing to commit to advancing the Air Force Indigenous Strategy.

The Headquarters team have also had a dedicated focus to joint warfighting through the continued progress in integrating the Growler capability, ongoing Jericho air land initiatives, and the initial planning and commitment to implementing a tactical air wing.

Throughout all of these activities, CDR ACG Air Commodore Kitcher and his team maintained the morale of this highly capable team of personnel.

AIRCDRE Kitcher said the Air Force Association Trophy was a significant award for HQACG and acknowledged the award was for what the members of ACG had achieved during late 2017 and 2018.
