F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft to conduct handling display for the Townsville 500 Supercars

A single Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft from No. 1 Squadron based at RAAF Base Amberley will conduct a handling display during the Townsville 500 Supercars event, Townsville Queensland.

All display practice activities are conducted within strict safety and operational guidelines.

Residents are advised this activity will be conducted on Sunday 09 July 2023, at approximately 2.20pm.  

The flying activity schedule is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as air traffic control, weather and other aviation considerations.

Safety, noise management and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of Defence flying activities. Participating aircraft will operate with a view to minimising the impact on the local communities.
