There will be increased flying activity from RAAF Base Williamtown, RAAF Base Townsville, Shoalwater Bay Training Area and Sunshine Coast Airport as part of essential military training during February 2026.

Air Force advises that residents can expect an increase in flying activity including night flying activities and variations around normal flying operations.

Air Force appreciates the ongoing support from local communities in the vicinity of RAAF Bases Williamtown and Townsville, the Shoalwater Bay Training Area and the Sunshine Coast Airport during this essential training.
