Members of Number 2 Squadron from RAAF Base Williamtown will participate in Wet Winching training activity over Shoal Bay in  Port Stephens on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 December 2025.

Wet Winching is an important survival training activity for Royal Australian Air Force aircrew to maintain proficiency and currency in combat survival techniques and the proper use of aircraft life support equipment. 

Training ensures search and rescue crews maintain essential training capabilities. The wet winching activity will be conducted by the locally based CHC search and rescue helicopter.
