The RAAF Richmond Airshow on 27 and 28 September 2025 will commemorate 100 years of RAAF Base Richmond. The airshow will be an exhilarating aviation experience showcasing Australian Defence Force aircraft, military capabilities and Defence personnel.
Airborne highlights will include the F-35A Lightning II, EA-18G Growler, Hawk 127, Roulettes Aerobatic Team, C-17A Globemaster, C-130J Hercules, C-27J Spartan, KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport, E-7A Wedgetail, and 100SQN Heritage aircraft (subject to change).
The aircraft and their crews will be on ground display as well as exhibits of Air Force Security Forces, Military Working Dogs, Aero-Medical Evacuation, Explosive Detection, Firefighters, Drones, Simulators and Virtual Reality, Air Force Cadets, Bands and much more!
Important Event Information
- Tickets
- All Airshow tickets are sold out and none will be available at the Event. This will mean No Ticket = No Entry.
- All attendees require a ticket except for Carers with a State Government issued Companion Card who are accompanying a ticket holder.
- There is no Waitlist or Re-sell option through Trybooking or the Organiser.
- Please be cautious buying tickets via other websites and Social Media. Trybooking and the Organiser will not be able to assist you in the event of scams or fake tickets.
- Tickets are only valid for the day shown on your ticket.
- As per the Ticket Terms & Conditions, tickets are not changeable or refundable for personal reasons.
- Parking and Airshow tickets will be scanned on Entry – please have them ready on your device or printed to reduce delays to you and others.
- Timings
- Carparks will open at 8:00am.
- Airshow Gates will open at 9:00am.
- Opening Ceremony commences at 10:30am.
- Flying Displays commence at 11:00am and finish at 4:00pm.
- There will be breaks in the flying to allow you to visit the many ground exhibits and merchandise stalls and food vendors.
- Displays, Exhibits, Vendors and Amenities
- The flying displays will be conducted on the western side of the RAAF Base (not along the runway).
Flying viewing areas include on the grass and limited non-reserved grandstand seating. You can bring a chair or picnic blanket. - Please read the permitted and prohibited item lists below.
- Accessibility patron viewing areas are located at the Northern Zone near the RAAF Balloon and at the Southern Zone grandstands.
- Exhibits, Merchandise and Food Vendors are located across the airshow site. Please explore them all
- Most food vendors will accept EFTPOS and Cash. Some merchandise vendors will be EFTPOS only.
- Personal food and drink is permitted, but no alcohol.
- Free filtered water refills will be available at the event.
- There is limited shade at the airshow, we recommend sunscreen, sun-safe hats, clothing and other protections.
- Toilet facilities including Accessibility amenities and Baby Change rooms will be available across the site.
- We recommend earmuffs for young children and babies. Free ear plugs will be available.
- Information, Lost Children, First Aid and Police centres will be located near the Fighter Aircraft at the centre of the site.
Air Force Air Show Team members will be available to help you throughout the day. Look for them in the yellow vests. - Please see the Airshow Map and Program for more information.

- Connectivity
- Please note that Richmond has poor commercial mobile network coverage. This is likely to impact your ability to use social media and possibly restrict phone calls and messages.
- Vendors and merchants will have supplemented networks, but there is no public WiFi available.
- You can connect to the local airshow network - ‘Airshow Explorer WiFi’ for the digital Treasure Hunt and Augmented Reality aircraft information, display timings and other airshow updates.
Getting There and Back
- Public Transport:
- Free public transport is included in your ticket (except Airport stations access fee). You must have your tickets available on your device or printed to show to Transport staff.
- Additional trains will operate to/from Clarendon Station which is the Airshow entry train station.
- Dedicated event shuttle buses will run between Tallawong Metro Station and Schofields Train Station to help attendees connect with trains to Clarendon.
- Shuttle buses will also run between Penrith and Clarendon each day.

- By Car:

- Expect delays to normal travel times.
- Road Closures will be in force. Please follow the signs and directions.
- Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect on Hawkesbury Valley Way and Hobart St surrounding the airbase from 7:00am to 5:00pm each day on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September.
- Special event clearways are strict no-parking zones for all vehicle types and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies. If your vehicle is towed, you can search your vehicle registration at the Find My Car website to find its new location, or alternatively call 131 700 to speak to an operator.
- Parking - Showgrounds
- Parking will be available for pre-purchased ‘Showground Parking’ Ticket holders at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds.

- Please have your Parking Ticket ready on your device or printed out for your car’s dashboard before entering the carpark. If not, you will be directed to a holding area so as not delay other drivers.
- Use ‘40 Racecourse Rd Clarendon’ for your GPS maps. (Do not use‘RAAF Base Richmond’).
- Entry to the carparks will be via Blacktown Road along Racecourse Road or the Access Lane as shown on the RAAF transport map.
- There is no entry to the Showground carpark from Hawkesbury Valley Way and there is no general parking at the RAAF Base. This is different to the 2024 Open Day.
- Accessibility and Parking
- For attendees with pre-purchased ‘Accessibility Parking’ tickets, your parking will be at ‘RAAF Base Richmond’ via the RAAF Main Gate on Percival St via Hawkesbury Valley Way.
- Please note, there will be no access along Dight St from the Richmond side to the RAAF Base due to Aviation Safety regulations.
- Please have your Parking Ticket ready on your device or printed out for your car’s dashboard before entering Percival St. If not, you will be directed to a holding area so as not to delay other drivers.
- Please follow the signs and directions.
- From the carpark you will be bag and ticket checked before entering the airshow precinct.
- Please note there is no Accessibility drop-off or pick-up at the RAAF Richmond Main Gate except for official Wheelchair Taxis.
- Additional Accessibility Parking
- For those with pre-purchased ‘Showground Parking’ tickets and mobility issues, additional accessibility parking will be available at the Showgrounds near the general pedestrian entry point.
The route from the carpark to the Airshow entry is approximately 300m and is wheelchair suitable across grassy ground. - Please note there is no Accessibility shuttle service. Please consider your assistance needs.

- Rideshare Drop-off and Pick-up location is near the ‘Hawkesbury Visitors Information Centre’ on Hawkesbury Valley Way.
- Please note there is no Rideshare drop-off or pick-up at the RAAF Richmond Main Gate, nor is there pedestrian entry at the RAAF Main Gate.

- From the train, parking areas and rideshare drop-off, visitors will cross Hawkesbury Valley Way and enter the airshow via temporary airfield gates along
- Hawkesbury Valley Way.
- Please follow the signs and instructions from the traffic controllers for your safety.
The route will be wheel-chair accessible across grassy ground, however we recommend you consider your assistance needs. - Please note there is no Accessibility or general shuttle service between the carpark and the airshow.
- Upon entry, there will be a ticket and bag check area prior to walking across the runway to the ground exhibits and the flying display viewing area.
- Please have your Airshow Ticket ready on your device or printed out for scanning.

Permitted and Recommended Items
- Hat, sunglasses, sun protection and hearing protection – ear plugs will be available.
- Cameras
- Refillable water bottle – free refills will be available.
- Personal food & non-alcoholic drinks are permitted or visit the numerous food vendors at the airshow. Stoves, barbecues and cooking equipment are not permitted.
- Prams/Strollers, backpacks and collapsible carry carts are permitted but cannot be left unattended.
- Seating at the event will be limited. We recommend you bring a folding chair and/picnic blanket.
- Hand held umbrellas are permitted but no beach umbrellas, cabanas or tents due to spectator safety and viewing.
- Mobility Aids: Wheelchair or motorised devices for accessibility patrons are welcome at the event. Bikes, scooters, e-scooters, golf carts, skateboards are not permitted.
- Certified Assistance animals are permitted at airshow. Personal pets are not permitted.
Prohibited items
Persons, vehicles and containers are not permitted to enter the event site with any prohibited item. Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
- Alcohol, illegal drugs or substances similar to illegal drugs and illegal substances
- Smoking and the use of vapes and e-cigarettes are not permitted at the event.
- Drones and radio/remote controlled devices.
- Radio transmitting equipment. Non-transmitting radio receivers/scanners are permitted.
- Stoves, barbecues and cooking equipment.
- Vehicles or transportation devices, including without limitation any motorcar, motorcycle, motor scooter, bicycle, segway, scooter, skateboard, roller skates or roller blades, are not permitted. beyond the designated carparks, with the exception of wheelchairs or mobility scooters where required in connection with a disability or an impairment.
- Pets, other animals and birds with the exception of certified assistance animals.
- Tents, shelters, shade and/or beach umbrellas, structures, elevated seating.
- Strobe lights, laser pointers, and similar light emitting devices.
- Explosives, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, smoke canisters, weapons (including replica and toy firearms), projectiles and similar devices.
- Paint, chemicals, spray cans, apparatus and equipment.
- Hazardous substances including powders, pastes, irritants, toxic substances and gas canisters.
- Megaphones, amplifiers, loud speakers.
- Placards, flags, banners, signs, brochures and leaflets.
- Inappropriately messaged clothing, banners, posters or material of any kind displaying inappropriate political and/or religious images/writing; offensive race related messages, slogans or images; offensive slogans or images as deemed by Event Staff.
- Any other object, device, substance or item that Event Staff considers dangerous, hazardous and/or illegal, or that may be used as a weapon or missile, or that may compromise or otherwise interfere with the safety or enjoyment of, or pose a hazard to, any person, including security, at the Venue, will not be permitted.
