The Royal Australian Air Force is proud to support the Canberra Airport Open Day with exciting air and ground displays.

In the skies above Canberra Airport, visitors and locals can enjoy flying displays by the Air Force Roulettes aerobatic team and a heritage warbird from 100 Squadron.

On the ground, attendees can get up close to a C-27J Spartan aircraft and the Royal Australian Air Force Balloon, and meet aviators.

Media Note

Media interviews with Air Force members can be facilitated upon request.

Air Force is committed to balancing the efficient and responsible use of fuel with the requirement to ensure our people are trained, ready and prepared to conduct operations in support of Australia’s national interests.

Air Force support to public events remains subject to change due to operational requirements and a range of environmental, safety and readiness considerations.

Safety and noise management are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of Defence flying activities. Participating squadrons will operate with a view to minimising the impact on local communities.
