Local residents are advised there will be an increase in flying activity on Friday, 26 June, around Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Bases Williamtown and Amberley, as part of Exercise Dawn Strike 2026.

Exercise Dawn Strike 2026 is the culminating flying activity of Air Force’s Air Warfare Instructor Course. The intensive six-month program enhances the preparedness and capability development of Air Force’s highly skilled workforce.

The activity will simulate an operational scenario involving approximately 30 aircraft, providing a final opportunity for the newest Air Warfare Instructors to test their skills before they are welcomed back to RAAF Base Williamtown.

Air Force appreciates the continued support of local communities around RAAF Bases Williamtown and Amberley during this important training activity.
