A single Royal Australian Air Force Pilatus PC-21 training aircraft, will conduct a flypast in support of Vietnam Veterans’ Day at the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne.

The aircraft is from No. 1 Flying Training School, based at RAAF Base East Sale, Victoria.

Vietnam Veterans’ Day is observed annually on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. This was one of the largest and most significant battles fought by Australians in the Vietnam War, where Australians, outnumbered, fought with bravery and courage.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan.
