Additional flying operations in Darwin

Operation Details Tab

Details
Residents and the local community are advised to expect additional flying operations in the Darwin area over the period 26 October to 11 December 2020.

Similar to previous years, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) fighter jets, air-to-air refuellers and airborne early warning aircraft will operate from RAAF Base Darwin and conduct training at air weapons ranges in the Northern Territory.

Flying is expected to occur Monday to Friday during daytime hours as aircraft depart and arrive at the base. Night flying is expected to occur from 02 November on week nights and is expected to cease around 9.30pm to limit the impact on the local community.

The presence of the RSAF in the Northern Territory strengthens our relationships with our regional partners, and we welcome them to the region.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of training activities and Air Force extends its thanks and appreciation to the people of Darwin for their continued support and goodwill for important training activities such as this.
