All three services of the Australian Defence Force will be supporting Australia Day activities in Adelaide.

The Australia Day Parade in the City commences at 6.00pm at Victoria Square and will be led by the South Australian Detachment of the Royal Australian Navy Band.

The parade will march along King William Road to Elder Park, where a flag raising ceremony will be held.

During the ceremony, a single Royal Australian Air Force AP-3C Orion aircraft from Number 10 Squadron, based out of RAAF Base Edinburgh, will provide a flypast over Elder Park at approximately 7.20pm.

The aircraft will overfly Elder Park from west to east at a height of no less than 250 feet and at a speed of 300 knots.

The Australian Army’s 10th/27th Battalion RSAR will then provide the Australia Day 21 Gun Salute for the commencement of the ‘Australia Day in the City Concert’ at Elder Park.

Prior to the flypast over Elder Park, at approximately 6.30pm, the AP-3C Orion will conduct a coastal flypast over Adelaide beaches from north to south, passing to the west of Outer Harbor on transit to Port Noarlunga.
