Up to three Royal Australia Air Force (RAAF) hot air balloons will participate each day in the annual Canberra Balloon Spectacular from 9 - 17 March 2019.

The Balloon pilots will begin inflating the RAAF balloons on the lawns of Old Parliament House every day during the event at 6:15am. The balloons will then ascend into the sky, joining other hot air balloons to float across the nation’s capital.

For more than 26 years, the RAAF balloon has travelled throughout Australia visiting communities and schools, inspiring an interest in aviation among young people and promoting the professionalism of the RAAF.
