The Royal Australian Air Force will mark 100 years of service to Australia on 31 March 2021. The Air Force is planning a number of commemorative activities in South Australia to honour the sacrifice and service of the last 100 years, demonstrate today’s highly capable force and foreshadow our continued evolution into the future.

Air Force Centenary Week
The RAAF Ensign will be flying at Torrens Parade Ground and there will be an Air Force Centenary exhibition featuring historical artefacts, an Indigenous air weapons display, audio visual displays and current Air Force capability.

Air Force Centenary Commemorative service
This ceremony will remember those who set the foundation for the Air Force, to recognise their achievement and innovation to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Attendees will include Governor of South Australia His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Member for Adelaide Steve Georganas MP, Member for Spence Nick Champion MP, The Lord Mayor of Adelaide The Right Honourable Sandy Verschoor, Senior Australian Defence Force Officer Edinburgh Defence Precinct Air Commodore Ross Bender and representatives of the veteran community.

Air Force aircraft flypasts
A P-8A Poseidon and PC-21 aircraft will conduct a flypast at the Air Force Centenary Commemorative Service at 11am. The two aircraft will then separate and fly over Adelaide and South Australian townships.
