EVDAWR will not be utilised every day within these windows; precise dates and times will be determined in order to best meet the training objectives. Training will involve up to two waves per day conducting activities such as live strafing and bombing practice involving lasers and low-level flying.

For safety reasons, the Southern Defence Practice Area (overwater) will be closed from 10am to 5pm during all operations except where specifically indicated. And the range (land areas) remains restricted regardless of any activities being conducted.

A copy of the overwater EVDAWR Defence Practice Area map and GPS co-ordinates are available from the Defence website here.

Flying is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables including air traffic control requirements, weather and other aviation considerations.

Noise management and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of Defence flying activities.

Air Force appreciates the support of the community during these important training activities.
