Dawn strike at Williamtown

Up to 35 aircraft will conduct a ‘dawn strike’ on Royal Australian Air Force Base Williamtown on Friday 31 May between approximately 06:30am to 08:00am as the Air Force’s newest Air Warfare Instructors return from Exercise Diamond Storm

Local residents are advised up to 27 x F/A-18A Hornets, four F/A-18F Super Hornets, two EA-18G Growlers, one C-130J and an E-7A Wedgetail will return to base flying in formations of up to four fighter jet aircraft.

Exercise Dawn Strike is the final activity of the biennial Air Warfare Instructor Course and the candidates' final mission prior to graduation.
