F-35A aircraft conduct diversion training into RAAF Base Richmond

Up to six Air Force F-35A Lightning II aircraft from No. 3 Squadron based at RAAF Base Williamtown will conduct diversion training into RAAF Base Richmond.
The aircraft will conduct instrument approaches and ‘touch and go’ landings in three waves during nominated times. Instrument Landing System approach training is an essential part of pilot training on fastjet aircraft as it assists pilots to land at different airfields in all weather conditions.

TIME:                            Between 10am and 12 noon and between 2pm and 4pm
VENUE:                         RAAF Base Richmond
Residents should note that the date and time for this activity are subject to variables such as weather and operational availability, and may change. We request that local residents do not call RAAF Base Richmond directly for updated timings.
