F-35A Joint Strike Fighters to conduct night flying at RAAF Base Williamtown

Up to 2 F-35A Joint Strike Fighter aircraft from No. 3 Squadron (3SQN) will be conducting essential night flying training from 01 April through to 04 April, and 08 April through to 11 April 2019; from around 6pm until approximately 9pm during these two periods.
 
This type of night flying training forms a vital part of 3SQN's pilot training program, providing the opportunity for aircrew to practice flying on instruments and with night vision equipment.
 
Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
 
Air Force appreciates the support it receives from Port Stephens residents during this activity.
