F-35A Lightning II aircraft conducts flypast over Burnie 10 Road Race event

A single F-35A Lightning II aircraft will conduct a fly past in support of the 2021 Burnie 10 road race event in Tasmania on Sunday 24 October at approximately 11am.

LOCATION:                Burnie, Tasmania
The 2OCU F-35A Lightning II will conduct two low passes over the Burnie 10 road race just prior to the start of the athletic event. An initial pass of up to 740 km/hr (400 knots) tracking south to north at an altitude of 152 metres (500ft) along Wilson Street in Burnie township.
The aircraft will then repeat the pass over the same area from north to south before departing to the west on return to RAAF Base Williamtown.
Flying activity is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as operational requirements, weather, air traffic control and other aviation considerations.
Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
