F/A-18A/B Hornet low-level formation flypast - Darwin coastline

Operation Details Tab

A formation of up to six Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18A/B Hornets, enroute to RAAF Base Tindal will conduct a low-level flypast approximately 1-2 nautical miles off the Darwin coastline from Channel Island, around to East Point then Lee Point.
DATE: Wednesday 25 November 2020

TIME: Approximately 12:00pm – 2pm
VENUE: Vantage points along the East Point, Nightcliff, Casuarina, and Lee Point coastlines
Residents should note that all flying is subject to change due to weather or other aviation variables.
Opportunities for the media and general public to view Air Force F/A-18A/B Hornets in formation at low-level will becoming increasingly rare as the fleet is progressively retired in sequence with the introduction of the F-35A Lightning II.
