F/A-18F Super Hornets deploy to Townsville for military exercise

The Royal Australian Air Force will deploy up to eight 1SQN F/A-18F Super Hornets to RAAF Base Townsville for Exercise Nigrum Pugio for the period 1 – 16 October 2020.
Exercise Nigrum Pugio is an ADF Joint Terminal Attack Controller requalification activity held at the Townsville Field Training Area.


Exercise flying schedule

Thursday 1 October
11.45am - 12.15pm
Aircraft will arrive in two waves, approaching the city from the South.
Monday 5 October  - Thursday 8 October
8.00am - 6.00pm
Friday 9 October
8.00am - 1.00pm
Monday 12 October 8.00am - 1.00pm
Tuesday 13 October - Wednesday 14 October 10.00am - 10.00pm
Thursday 15 October 8.00am - 5.00pm
