Up to two RAAF Museum heritage aircraft will conduct flypasts in support of the Battle of Amiens Commemoration.

In support of the Battle of Amiens Commemoration, a Tiger Moth and a Sopwith Pup historic aircraft from the RAAF Museum will conduct flypasts over the Melbourne Shrine at 8am on 8 August.

DATE: Thursday 8 August

TIME: 8am

VENUE: The Shrine of Remembrance, Birdwood Ave, Melbourne, VIC 3001

This year, 8 August marks the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Amiens which heralded the ‘Hundred Days Offensive’ and the path to the Armistice in November 1918.

This commemoration is an opportunity for Australians to reflect on and appreciate the service and sacrifice of the men and women who served in the first World War (WWI).

All flying is subject to change due to weather and operational requirements.
